Community Employment

Community Employment is a part time job for 19.5 hrs per week. You can take up additional part time employment if you wish to.

Our Community Employment programme provides individuals with valuable work experience, hands-on training and structured support within a community setting. The programme is designed to help people who have been unemployed to re-enter the workforce with new skills, confidence and a renewed daily routine.

Roles Available

General Operatives

Supporting daily recycling operations and materials handling.

Receptionists

Front-of-house tasks, greeting visitors, and admin support.

Cleaners

Maintaining clean and safe work environments.

Drivers

Assisting with collections and deliveries (full license required).

Driver Assistants

Supporting drivers with collections and onsite tasks.

Green Keepers

Maintaining outdoor areas and supporting horticulture work.

Training & Upskilling

All Community Employment employees are expected to participate in training and/or education that will accentuate their employability while working in Sunflower Recycling.
 
Your training plan will help you learn new skills and upskill to a higher level. Each training plan is individually tailored to the participant.
